Somewhere around late 1999 we met via a silkie auction on the old TPC on-line auction site. It was a Saturday afternoon and from the very first email we hit it off. During the first few conversations we realized we had a lot more in common than just our passion and desire to make beautiful silkies. We didn't realize that our first few weeks of chit-chatting were about to send us on this journey that has become "HatTrick Silkies".
We are very proud of the fact that everything we have today all stems from our first conversations, which were 'all about the birds'. That was our goal 8+ years ago and that is still our goal today.
Our name, HatTrick, came about because we are both hockey fans.
When we decided to make a site and pick a name, Janet sent me an with
a list of choices. Boy, I SO wish I still had that email!
After a little deliberation we settled on "HatTrick" and Janet threw
our first site together. That was the beginning of HatTrick Silkies.
