We knew when we found this obscure article this past fall (written in 2003)
that it was a bad sign...a very bad sign.  Ugh.

Property of HatTrick Silkies
We started chronicling our experiences and taking tons of pictures from the beginning of what became HatTrick Silkies. Since we live 6 hours apart, it was a great way to share our experiences and
watch the progression of each others birds (thank heavens for email :) We started writing articles early on, as well as shooting some home movies of the birds. It has been a great help to us, a wonderful learning tool and something we would like to share with others.

Some of the articles were written 'back in the day' and although we've moved forward, we felt
it was important to show our progression. One of the most important things we learned early on was;
if it doesn't look right or make sense, then it isn't right. Keeping it simple and using common sense has moved us forward by leaps and bounds. Our lines are steady, reliable, proven and bred to the standard.

As we move forward with our birds and continue to make improvements, we will share those experiences as well. Janet and I have some new articles ready, as well as some cool new ideas on the horizon. Please check back. We hope you enjoy your visit ~ Nik & Janet
